Hi there, I’m Annelise and I run Metal Marketing.
This is a music marketing blog with tips and ideas for bands and musicians. Even though I’m not writing blogs as often as I’d like, I work in the music industry and take on occasional freelance work with bands and promoters.
I’m from Sydney, Australia. I was born into a life of music and attended my very first concert at the age of four. I’ve been hooked ever since.
I have traveled to Europe countless times over the years to see bands and festivals as well as getting along to as many shows in Australia to support the local music scene.
In 2011 I brought Swedish sleaze band Crashdiet out to Australia for their first ever tour. For this I acted solely, as the promoter and tour manager. I managed the marketing and PR, booked all travel, visas, accommodation and music equipment, managed the budget and finances as well as completing the administration work involved.
In 2011 I started my first role in Digital Marketing and have been working in the music industry since 2016. I have been asked advice from friends in bands over the years and I have always wanted to help bands develop their online presence and enhance their brand online.
I hold a Digital Marketing Certificate, Google Analytics Certificate and have attended various marketing courses over the years. I have a Diploma in Makeup Artistry and I am an amateur photographer and singer.
I specialise in community management, brand management, digital/social media strategy writing, content creation, website CMS, Google Analytics & AdWords, email marketing, online campaigns and competitions, video strategies and writing briefs, Facebook and Spotify advertising.
I also know a thing or two about merchandising, small tour management and event management.
I hope to share some of my knowledge with you in this blog and I am available to help if your band needs it.
